She was born August 27, 1935, to Rose (Rosie Poker Jim) and Eneas Pierre, and was raised in the Jocko Valley.

Airforce attaining the rank of Airmen second class; he was honorably discharged in 1957 at West over Airforce Base in Chicopee MA.and Annie Mary Finley Lefthand died January 1978 of Arlee.; her sisters, Theresa, Harriet (Corky) of Hot Springs, Ameila (Merle) Lefthand, Louise Andrew of Ronan and Annie Smallsalmon of Arlee; and her brothers Sam and Victor Lefthand of Elmo., Peter Andrews of Sheridan, WY., Johnny Woodcock of St.Ignatius., three grandnephews Kevin (Victor) Kenmille from Ronan., Brian Madplume of Pablo., a grandniece Catherine Madplume of Ronan.She was also known for her crocheted items and giving them as gifts. She was preceded in death by her husband Jake Carpentier, daughter Cynthia (Cindy) Carpentier, parents, Leo David and Jeanie (Senecal) David; brothers, Francis David, Albert David and Lenny David who died as a toddler. Arrangements are under the direction of The Lake Funeral Home and Crematory. Susan Marie Lefthand Dowdall was born March 30, 1957 in Polson to parents Annie Mary Finley Lefthand and Basil Lefthand Sr.
She is survived by her children, Brenda (Rick) Dolence, Christopher “Chris” (Shaylene) Carpentier, Brandi (Chase) Toulou, Ginger (Mike)Drake and Shawn (Sonya) Carpentier; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her half - brother Alfred (Felix) Mc Cullough; half-sister Dawn (Pinky) Clute; as well as many nieces and nephews, in-laws and cousins. Su San Marie Lefthand Dowdall POLSON — Susan Marie Lefthand Dowdall, 60, died of complications of diabetes, which let to heart failure at her home in Finley Point. She graduated from Arlee High School May 1976 receiving post elementary education from Catholic Ursuline’s School than transferring to Arlee Schools graduated to earn her High School diploma.
He is survived by his children Jimmy Trahan of Springfield MA and daughter Susan Lyman of Jacksonville Fl as well as two sisters who still reside in Montana, Eileen Antoinette Trahan Quest and Theresa Ducharme Morigeau. S Marine Corps, he served in Korea attained the rank of Corporal and received the following medals: The Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service /Medal, Navy Occupation Medal, National Defense Medal, Good Conduct Medal. He remained in the area and this is where he met his wife of 39 years and raised his step children whom he adopted with Gail.
